Thoughty is a singer, rapper, songwriter and producer from Vienna, Austria.
He started his musical journey at eight years old, writing lyrics about his, at the time, tense relationship to his brother and putting them into rap format. Just one year later he had his first live appearance and fell in love with the feeling of being on stage. Ever since the beginning, Thoughty kept pursuing his musical career as it gave him the freedom of processing his personal feelings in a way rather inaccessible to others.
In 2016 he met his future-to-be vocal coach and former opera singer Robert Werner who taught Thoughty Jazz music. They started writing Jazz songs together, which Thoughty could rap over, trying to create an unheard sound. Together they gigged in multiple Jazz clubs in Vienna and Sarajevo and eventually split ways in 2018.
He started working on his music even more intensively and studied music production in Leeds for three years. After some time, he discovered his unique sound in pop rap. Using his assets of more than ten years of songwriting Thoughty adapts this genre in a whole new way, abstaining from pretentious lyrics and presenting Pop-Rap in an emotional and involving way.
