Throes NYC is Michael Bozzo and Courtney Leo, two cousins and Queens, NY natives who have been making music alone and together in some way since they were kids. Influenced by a myriad of genres, their sound is everything and nothing you’ve heard before. In their teens, Throes could be found catching a show at CBGB’s, Roseland or Irving Plaza almost every night— and their eclectic early 90s and 00s influences can be heard throughout their songs. Their sound is always evolving into something experimental, new wave, pop, indie, trip hop or just something that radiates vibes vibes vibes.
