THROES NYC is the creation of multi-instrumentalist and producer Michael Bozzo and vocalist Courtney Leo—two Queens, NY natives who have been making music together since childhood.

Blending their own emerging genre they call altriphop, their music is a signature fusion of alternative pop, trip-hop, and modern indie production—dark, cinematic, and emotionally charged.

THROES NYC are both nostalgic and forward-leaning: familiar enough to feel at home, yet distinct enough to stop you in your tracks.

Steeped in the gritty pulse of the New York music scene, Bozzo and Leo grew up spending their teenage years at legendary venues like CBGB’s, Roseland Ballroom, and Irving Plaza. The raw energy of the ’90s and ’00s shapes their sonic identity today—moody, experimental, atmospheric, and driven entirely by vibe.

With altriphop at its core, THROES NYC blends analog warmth, cinematic textures, and emotionally charged vocals to create music that feels intimate and explosive all at once. Their sound evolves from track to track, refusing to sit still or fit neatly into any category.

If you’re the kind of person who needs to hear the best music first—start with THROES NYC.
