Ryan McRyhew (Denver, CO) is focused on exploring sound through various live electronics and improvisation. His project “Entrancer” (formerly “Thug Entrancer”) represents a summation of varied approaches to electronic music. Drawing influence from pioneering early electronic composers, noise and techno musicians; Entrancer reframes these elements into long-form experimental design, placing an emphasis on extended technique and improvisation. Since 2011 Entrancer has released numerous albums spanning various electronic music genres including Death After Life (Software Recording Co., 2014), No Borders (Obsolete Future, 2017), Downgrade (Multidim Records, 2019). His latest series of releases “Decline”, takes a deep dive into ambient audio and evolving textures.
