Juno Award nominee and Polaris Prize longlisted musician Tim Baker returns with a new album, “Full Rainbow of Light”. The project consists of twelve new songs, written by Tim, and recorded in his hometown of St. John’s, Newfoundland. To call it a Christmas album is to cheapen the depth of the songwriting – these are masterful, original compositions that are set in the warm glow of the holidays, at Christmastime. Inspiration for this album stems largely from his connection to Newfoundland and that place’s unique feeling – and corresponding experiences – in December of each year. This album will be the follow-up to 2022’s “The Festival” and its 2023 companion EP “Along The Mountain Road”. Those releases saw Tim tour internationally, both with his full band, All Hands, and as a solo artist, selling out some of Canada’s most acclaimed venues like Massey Hall in Toronto, “Full Rainbow of Light” is the next evolution in his artistic practice. In many ways it is a bridge between his full-band sensibilities and the vulnerability of his solo performance setup. “Home”, as an idea and as a feeling, is the unifying concept through which this new collection of songs finds room to grow and flourish.
