Tim Carman Trio
“SOUL JAZZ HOW IT’S SUPPOSED TO SOUND”
- Eddie Roberts (Color Red, The New Mastersounds, W.R.D.)
The Tim Carman Trio is no-frills, timeless, B3 organ trio jazz. Inspired by 60s icons like Big John Patton, Jimmy Smith, Brother Jack McDuff, Al Harewood, Ben Dixon, Art Blakey, Roy Haynes, Kenny Burrell, and Grant Green—Carman (drums), Clark (organ), and Fell (guitar) harken back to an age of honest, raw, musical interaction. Recorded live in a single day, the trio sought to capture the old-school feel and off-the-cuff nature of some of their favorite 60s Blue Note, Verve, and Impulse! recordings. Stay tuned for their debut release in 2022 via Color Red Music.
Tim currently performs and tours with GA-20, an electric blues trio signed with Karma Chief/Colemine and leads The Street 45s.
