Tim Clarity

Tim Clarity is a lifelong songwriter, guitar player, and world vagabond based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is a musical omnivore, and was raised on diverse influences ranging from Roy Orbison to Dire Straits, Curtis Mayfield to Santana, and Peter Gabriel to Dr. John. He writes all lyrics and music, and plays many of the instruments on his songs.

His songs often explore seemingly hope-filled ordinary people, who exist in an upside-down world of shadows, apparitions, devils and angels. Musically, his songs reflect shades of his gospel, latin, soul, and celtic influences. To date, he has recorded two full albums and 27 singles.

Tim records with his seven piece studio band Soldiers of Love. These music veterans have toured and recorded with artists like Peter Frampton, Brian Setzer (Stray Cats), Soul Asylum, Jonny Lang, Bo Diddley, and Grammy winning artist Ruthie Foster (Best Contemporary Blues Album) among dozens of others. Tim's sessions take place at The Terrarium, a world-class Minneapolis studio, and at the legendary Sun Studio in Memphis.

Tim is also founder and owner of indie record label Red Owl Records.
