Tim Collins Alone

Multi-instrumentalist Tim Collins is an American who lives in Munich, Germany - and he is known best for his jazz vibraphone work, having released seven jazz albums on vibes.

'Tim Collins Alone' is the creative outlet for his rock & songwriting projects. Every note, every voice, every step of the recording process was performed by Tim himself. Only live instruments were used - vibraphone, piano/keyboards, electric bass, drums and vocals.

While he music has been heavily influenced by the songwriting of Ben Folds, Carole King, Tom Petty, The Band, and The Beatles, the fiery jazz vibraphone sounds reminiscent of Milt Jackson and Bobby Hutcherson are ever present.

Originally from Plattsburgh, NY, Tim studied at Manhattan School of Music and lived in NYC from 2000-2009, before moving to Europe. He has lived in Munich, Germany since 2010.

Tim's music has been called 'thoughtful, probing composition' (DOWNBEAT). He has been described as a 'musician of fire' by the Washington Post.
