I grew up in a musical family, and have always had a passion for writing, composing, producing, sound design, and playing any instrument I could get my hands on. I was fortunate to have the most supportive and loving parents. My father was a truly talented musician who could play any instrument he picked up. His main instruments were the piano and violin. He had many bands that he cultivated, and had a studio built into the garage, so I benefited from early access to high quality recording equipment. My mom is also a talented musician, and singer. She plays several instruments, with the bass being her main instrument, but her true gift is her voice. I was also a member of their bands when I was younger, and being around so many talented musicians helped me to develop quickly. I took piano lessons for a brief period, when I was a child, but quickly found out that I was happier teaching myself and exploring without a guide. As I grew older, it became clear that I was to take after my father and be most proficient on the piano, however I also enjoy playing the guitar, bass and drums. I do sing, but it is not my passion as much as playing an instrument and writing. I started writing music as a child, and am now 46 years old. I don't ever see myself quitting. I see music as a discipline and journey. It never ends. You simply keep making your way down the path, discovering new inspiration along the way. Music has always been my medicine, and at times, my weapon.
