The experience I strive to create is an emotional conversation between musicians, their instruments, and ultimately and most importantly the audience and their inner monologue. While the form and structure of a piece are important, I am more interested in the interaction of all parties. Not all conversations are smooth; it is impossible to recreate one exactly, and the outcome is rarely perfection. The goal is a shared communication.
There is a present moment in which we all sit. It is with this in mind that I perform, and collaborate, so that we may be brought deeper into our own awareness and the critical personal connection to others that makes us human.
