Tim Underscore became best friends with his DJ controller and MIDI keyboard in 2019, driven by his deep wonder for how his heroes from the golden era of EDM had been able to win the hearts of fans so effortlessly. As Tim looked for ways to emulate his idols with catchy melodies and chest thumping sounds, he drew from his background of playing the drums to translate physical beat making into digital rhythms and experimented with making unique mashups and remixes to share with the world.
One of Tim Underscore's biggest breakthroughs came in early 2023, where he finished second place in a DJ competition at TIME Nightclub, kick-starting his dream to perform live and use any platform he's given as a bridge to make authentic connections with fellow fans of dance music.
