TimeMachine1985 draws inspiration from Synthwave, Pop, and Electro sounds, while infusing a modern and unique energy into this retro-futuristic blend. Signed to Polydor (Universal Music France), the band aims to capture the essence of a world where the memories of yesterday merge with today’s emotions.
Their journey began with a bold reinterpretation of Vanessa Carlton ’s iconic hit "A Thousand Miles", transformed into a one-of-a-kind Synthwave version. The success was immediate: extensive airplay on major French radio stations (Top 10 on the general airplay charts), over 3 million streams across platforms, and a record deal with Polydor (Universal Music France).
Following this momentum, TimeMachine1985 released their second original single, "Disappear".
In March 2025, the duo unveiled a cover of the cult classic "A Real Hero", made famous by the film Drive.
Their new single, "Perfect Girl, Wrong World", featuring the talented Jessie Frye , is out now.
