At one time in my life I had an actual fear of writing gospel songs. I considered it too serious a thing to get wrong because I saw it as picking up where Jesus left off! At the same time my Pastor "Creflo Dollar" was speaking on "The will of God for your life" and I found myself faced with another serious crossroad. After realizing that gospel music was his will for me, he lead me to stop listening to all music and to start proclaiming his will in my life. My proclamation was that "I am a world-changing song-writing gospel singer" and then one day these words came to me in the shower. People Parrish for the lack of knowledge but I've got to do my part because I wouldn't make a difference singing gospel songs without putting the words of God in their heart....
From that point I was lead to listen to country music for the sake of learning how to write songs about one thing but from many angles. I came to love country song writing because of the many perfect expressions to choose from any one of them would do, and this gave me confidence that I could perfectly express my message in many angles what God would have me sing...
