Tinu Heiniger

Tinu Heiniger is a Swiss liedermacher from Berne, Switzerland, who began releasing albums in the 1970s on the Zytglogge label before signing a major-label recording deal with EMI after the turn of the century and rising to modest Top 40 success. His music is folky and sung in Bernese dialect; latter-day albums such as Bärg u Talsänger (2008), one of his Top 40 releases on EMI, are also orchestral in their arrangements. Heiniger's tenure with Zytglogge endured for a decade and a half, commencing with Es Schysst Mi A (1976) and also including So Lüt, Wie Anger Lüt (1978), Mängisch Fägts No (1980), Live im Chrämerhuus (1982), Wassermelonemaa (1984), Sächs Liebeslieder un ei Tango (1986), Jede Chunnt u Jede Geit (1990), Mängisch Fägts No/Sächs Liebeslieder un ei Tango (1992), Läbe Wie Ne Chatz (1993), Morgeliecht (1996), Miss New Orleans (1999), and 2001 (2001).
