Sicilian dance music act Ti.Pi.Cal., formed back in 1993, has been steadily leading the international music scene during the whole 90s, thanks to in-house productions alongside successful remixes.
Ti.Pi.Cal. comes from the first letters of members surnames: Daniele TIgnino, Riccardo PIparo and Vincenzo CALlea.
They became popular in 1995 with the single “The colour inside” performed by Josh Colow, which topped the Italian Single Sales Chart and lodged on top for 10 weeks in a row, becoming the second best-selling single of the year.
In 1997 singer Kimara Lawson joined the band, releasing the singles “Live for today” and “Hidden passion”.
In 1999 the group took a break to leave room for members’ solo projects. They reunited two years later, to release the single “Is this love”, in 2006 for “What I like” and then again in 2011 to produce and release, the single “Stars”, teaming up with Josh Colow, which preceded the release of the same-titled album, with a more pop and acoustic sound.
