Tipton Jones-Boiter

Tipton is a singer/songwriter and musician from the upstate of South Carolina. She's been playing music all over the NE/SE with various bands and musical collaborations for over twenty years. After a long hiatus to concentrate on her visual art career she found that she really missed making music on a regular basis. About five years ago she decided to get back into the local music scene and has hit the ground running.

Tipton plays and teaches eight different instruments. Piano and guitar are her two primary instruments of choice, with a little harmonica thrown into the mix. She currently teaches at Stokes Music Studios in Greer, SC and does session work when she can. She's also with the band "Remedy 58" and "Remember Me : A Willie Nelson Tribute Band"



"Writers tend to have an unstoppable need to create...to turn violently swirling thoughts into something shareable. It's an outlet that becomes a means of survival. I've changed so much over the past 10 years or so, as I'm sure we all have, and it's very much reflected in my writing. I've also really been putting in the time and effort to expand my musical abilities so I'm able to write things that I couldn't have written 10 years ago. I feel a level of personal and creative freedom that I've never felt before and I'm here for whatever unfolds!"
