Born in Galway, raised in Roscommon, Irish rapper TJ Maestro is one of the most exciting voices in the Irish hip-hop scene today.
He began his musical journey at the age of 11, writing rhymes in his bedroom which were significantly inspired by hip-hop greats such as <a href="spotify:artist:7dGJo4pcD2V6oG8kP0tJRR" data-name="Eminem">Eminem</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:20qISvAhX20dpIbOOzGK3q" data-name="Nas">Nas</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1ZwdS5xdxEREPySFridCfh" data-name="2Pac">2Pac</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:5me0Irg2ANcsgc93uaYrpb" data-name="The Notorious B.I.G.">The Notorious B.I.G.</a> For several years, he worked quietly on his craft, eventually sharing his early demo recordings with the world at the age of 16 on SoundCloud. With each passing track, TJ started to steadily gain traction.
His first official release, "<a href="spotify:track:3HZgzQJqPrtc1VAjSkj59P" data-name="2020 Vision">2020 Vision</a>", arrived in March 2020, a hard-hitting, trap-influenced banger which shared themes of his ambitions of rising to the top and doing whatever it takes to do so.
