Tj Mengus

TJ MENGUS, born Mathabatha Glen Tjale on September 29, 2003, is a gifted vocalist and producer hailing from Pretoria Mamelodi. Originating from Limpopo, TJ MENGUS has called Pretoria home for over five years, immersing himself in its vibrant music scene.

Inspired by his early experiences in church choirs, TJ MENGUS's musical journey began, where his passion for music blossomed, leading him to become a conductor. Renowned for his soft, melodic vocals, he's often likened to the famous amapiano singer, Daliwonga, with some mistaking his voice for that of a female's.

At the age of 15, TJ MENGUS recorded his debut song, swiftly capturing the attention of his school and community. This early success propelled him to relocate to Pretoria, initially residing in Soshanguve before finding his place in Mamelodi.

TJ MENGUS's talent hasn't gone unnoticed, as he's featured on The Low Keys' recent album and collaborated on the well-received joint album "Amor e luz vol 1" alongside DJ THE MXO. Anticipation is high for the release of "Amor e luz vol 2" later this year.

With a determination to make 2024 his breakthrough year, TJ MENGUS is gearing up to release more music, aiming to make a lasting impact in the industry. As he continues to evolve as an artist, TJ MENGUS remains signed to his own record label, ILox Records, where he collaborates closely with the acclaimed super producer DJ THE MXO, promising exciting ventures ahead
