Thabiso Justin Noko, known to many as TJ Noko, is a British artist – of Zimbabwean descent – from West Yorkshire. He is remarked for his laid-back voice but powerful delivery, his clever use of words and the ability to make songs which most could relate to.

Noko began rapping in 2020 at twelve years old under the name "TJ", shortly before switching to "Prince TJ." It wasn't until 2023, when he began to take music more seriously after gaining some attention for songs such as <a href="spotify:track:5ZrnjMjd9BDXJMkuNU2NdS" data-name="Lowkey (Nobody Know Me, Pt. 2)">Lowkey (Nobody Know Me, Pt. 2)</a> and "bossy.” featuring his good friend TM. This attention led to the release of more songs which became favourites such as “No Hook”, “Bossy, Pt. 2”, “Y.I.C.” and “High Interests.” In 2024, TJ began to find his feet in a style different to what he had previously done — one that included melodies, elements of R&B and afroswing. This was following the release of <a href="spotify:track:4tzWy3FltH72qGYNZmABKl" data-name="Strings (YoYo)">Strings (YoYo)</a> featuring fellow Leeds artist <a href="spotify:artist:6pR6Wpa3yJEMvyMyycoXnw" data-name="SIL-VAH">SIL-VAH</a> . This was a shift in sound that led to him dropping <a href="spotify:album:10PjxeHZVyjLgRRYCXOsLK" data-name="Sincerely, Yours Truly">Sincerely, Yours Truly</a> — a mixtape dedicated to that sound — in late 2025. At the very end of 2024, TJ chose to use his surname to identify himself as an artist; this put an end to a longstanding era. TJ has now dropped his highly anticipated and his first album titled <a href="spotify:album:5awaY0FfUZL0I77dRcR3Og" data-name="FAR FRM THA REST">FAR FRM THA REST</a>. In his time, TJ has gone on to perform at the U18’s event in Leeds on Cozy Brand’s Gang Members Only II tour as well as being played numerous times on BBC 1Xtra and BBC Radio Leeds, even becoming a Fresh Face.
