Tjomie

Tjomie is a 20 year old multi-talented artist, singer, songwriter, producer, and engineer born and raised in South Africa. He has demonstrated an unwavering passion for music since a young age. Despite lacking access to proper software, Tjomie&#39;s ingenuity led him to create beats using free loop apps on his phone (2014 - 2018). In early 2019, he began experimenting with rap songs, producing a parody track titled &#34;Die Lil Nacho,&#34; a parody on the popular track &#34;Die Very Rough&#34; by Mario Judah. Although he deemed the song to have limited potential and did not release it, his first-ever track, &#34;Mitchells Plain,&#34; which narrates a story of violence in the gang-dominated township of Mitchells Plain in Cape Town, South Africa, marked the beginning of his music career. Tjomie soon pivoted his style to include Pop, Hip-hop &amp; Rap, releasing his first &#34;serious&#34; track, High Life, after realizing that aggressive rap did not complement his voice yet. &#34;Tired,&#34; a song featuring <a href="spotify:artist:16ggR9fV5umragJRzTUQlK" data-name="Lil Edann">Lil Edann</a>, became his most streamed track and remains so to date. Tjomie recently released his debut album titled &#34;IAWOS&#34; independently as he is still looking to grab the attention of major record labels. He draws inspiration from fellow South African artist <a href="spotify:artist:2gzWmhOZhDN6gXL49JW9qj" data-name="Nasty C">Nasty C</a> as well as <a href="spotify:artist:246dkjvS1zLTtiykXe5h60" data-name="Post Malone">Post Malone</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:4Gso3d4CscCijv0lmajZWs" data-name="Don Toliver">Don Toliver</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:20sxb77xiYeusSH8cVdatc" data-name="Meek Mill">Meek Mill</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1URnnhqYAYcrqrcwql10ft" data-name="21 Savage">21 Savage</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5K4W6rqBFWDnAN6FQUkS6x" data-name="Kanye West">Kanye West</a> &amp; <a href="spotify:artist:3TVXtAsR1Inumwj472S9r4" data-name="Drake">Drake</a>. He has served as an engineer for <a href="spotify:artist:11uc79PGwCjNkSx3C7vntA" data-name="Tebadiah">Tebadiah</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:4vvFwYavK3qf4IhbhbpRIM" data-name="Lil Pegasus">Lil Pegasus</a>. Tjomie is also fluent in Afrikaans, English, and has a basic understanding of German and Zulu.
