Toby Huxley is a queer, neurodivergent producer, writer and lifelong oversharer turning decades of diaries, podcasts and late-night voice notes into electronic confessionals. Growing up in the UK and online at the same time, they’ve been broadcasting their inner world since the mid-2000s – first through DIY podcasts and blogs, now through songs that sit somewhere between ambient, glitch-pop and bedroom synthwave.
Their music lives in the spaces between anxiety and euphoria: soft pads, hazy textures and slow-building beats carrying lyrics about identity, trauma, chosen family and the strange, stubborn hope of still being here. You can hear echoes of acts like Robyn, Röyksopp, Aphex Twin and Björk, but the heart of it all is Toby’s voice – conversational, brutally honest, sometimes very funny, always trying to make sense of a messy brain in a noisy world.
For fellow weirdos, queers, autistics, ADHD brains and anyone who’s ever felt “too much”, Toby Huxley writes the soundtrack to surviving another year and finding small, glittering moments of joy in the ruins.
