Born in the typical Westphalian middle town of Bocholt (Germany), I started playing the organ and piano at the age of 10. Thanks to my parents, I received a fundamental musical education and began to love music at a young age. In my school years at a Catholic gymnasium, I played keyboard and drums in the school band, jobbed as a seller and presenter in a music store, played dance music as a solo entertainer and helped out in a record company.

During my engineering studies (in the meantime I also have a PhD in business administration) I heavily leaned towards jazz, blues, Latin and R&B. Endowed with a great musical ear, I learned to play various jazz and blues classics in a very short time, to improvise on beautiful songs and made some very much needed extra money by performing in various pubs on weekends in my university town of Wuppertal.

In the late 80s I spent a lot of time in Southern Italy, where I wrote my first songs on my old Wurlitzer-E-Pi. This time - the great 80s in sweet Italy - influenced my musical style and my distinct 80s sound. In 2000 I finally had the money to have my sketches and songs recorded and arranged more and more in a professional way, which I've been improving on ever since.

In my professional life I work as a marketing strategy consultant and advertising specialist. I currently live in Duisburg (Germany), right near a nature park with several lakes, which is nice for an early morning swim and humming along to new tunes.
