Born and raised in Country WA, Tom has journeyed and experienced many avenues of life in a relatively short time frame. Former AFL player, now carpenter and musician, Tom Derickx is the epitome of the modern man. His proudest accolades include being a mental health advocate (R U OK ambassador), good friend, son and brother. Since diving into music with his band Kayex, Tom has started to branch out and write music from the soul.

Without politicising his songwriting 'Horror Show’ is Tom's debut solo single written about his frustration at the lack of direction throughout Australia as well as globally during the pandemic. The underlying theme is about taking ownership of your situation and checking in on the people you care about. “Smile under your mask while we fight our way out of this together.”
Horror Show is the first of three singles, leading into an EP in 2022.
