Tom Geiger began his NYC music career in the early 2000s as a roadie for iio (Nadia Ali and Markus Moser). After leaving iio, he sharpened his craft at open mics and with backing bands—often paying to play. In 2005 he teamed with DJ Lance Jordan after Nadia took him to see Rosko perform his hit “Love Is a Drug” at a West Village club. The next 2.5 years felt like a creative fever dream as Geiger and Jordan crafted their best work. While finishing “Can One Day Change Your Life,” John Creamer and Stephane K arrived uncharacteristically early, heard it, and asked to remix it. In the Southern summer of 2008, after Creamer quietly shared the track with a few Argentine DJs, it caught fire in Punta del Este, Uruguay. At the same time, Geiger/Jordan’s “Thank God We Got Good Friends” aired in the U.S. on ABC Television's Eli Stone. The momentum carried into Buenos Aires, where “Can One Day Change Your Life” later hit #1 for four consecutive weeks on Metro 95.1 and has since become a classic.
