Tom Kidam

Based in Brussels, Tom Kidam is a musician and ex-painter.
In 2016, this multi-instrumentalist released his 1st EP "A Woman With The Uniform", mixed/mastered (Bxl) by Remy Lebbos. The 4 titles are physical dreams confronted with a tougher reality, full of indifference.
In 2020, the artist released "The Beach", a new single mixed/mastered by Peter Soldan at Dada Studio (Bxl).
“The Beach” is about our need to find a place to escape when the world is going mad. This mental, sensual space is supercharged by the current incessant audiovisual production. It allows to breathe but invites us to inaction while the world organizes itself without us.
Upcoming EP "Separate" sees the light of day in the form of 4 singles speaking about the raw urges of individuals in an evolving patriarchal society.
The 1st title "Saladin's Wife" (out May 2022) is a poetic fiction inspired by the end of the crusades and the crossing of the desert undertaken by Ismatal-Dîn to meet her husband Saladin, Sultan of Egypt. Although based on historical characters, the woman's initiative relates to the mores of our time.
The 2nd title "Fury4" (out Oct 2022) features a man (a monster) whose destructive desires are directed towards women whom he considers "objects of pleasure". He identifies himself as "Jack The Ripper".
His fantasy, horrible as it is, being here, a fragile ally allowing him to avoid the worst.
Next titles "Rules of Shapes" and "Antichambre" are planned at the beginning of 2023.
