Tomáš Sloboda is a Slovak composer, multi-instrumentalist, singer, and record producer based in Bratislava. Active since the 1990s, he formed his first band at the age of eleven, when he began writing original songs. While studying at the Conservatory, he was already composing music for theatre productions.
Over the years, he has performed in several bands, including Sonic (1989–1992), Í (1992–1995), Merry Go Round (1993–1995), and later in projects such as Wedding Band, Hogo-Pogo (both 2002–2005), and Sounds Like This (2007–2018). His longest-running project was the acclaimed band Le Payaco (1996–2025), where he served as guitarist, vocalist, songwriter, and co-writer.
He has composed music for several films and received both the Radio_Head Awards and the Czech Anděl Award, as a band member and as a solo artist (for his 2013 album Chobotnica). As a record producer, he has worked with artists such as Korben Dallas, Hex, Para, Billy Barman, Saténové ruky, Živé kvety, Terrible 2s, and others.
In recent years, he has increasingly focused on non-song formats, contemplative cycles, field recordings, and experimental music exploring spatial sound and atmosphere.
In May 2025, he joined the band Korben Dallas.
Currently, he collaborates with rapper Tóno S., composer Kriss Krimm, and several other artists. He also performs as a DJ under the pseudonym God Save The Vinyl, and is a resident DJ at Nu Spirit Bar in Bratislava.
