Bassist, composer, performing, D.I.Y. recording artist Tomaso Semioli creates modal sound collages founded on funky basslines steeped in a mélange of ambient dub, art rock, nu jazz, electronic, industrial, soundtrack, downtempo ...and permutations thereof!
An instrumental song-cycle inspired by the rhythms of New York City, GROOVE N.Y.C. is Tomaso's first full-length song-oriented collection. Additional releases such as NUOVO SUONO (New Sound), SINGLES, Vol. 1 / 2 /3 - original cover imagery by Avi Bonime - Dire Wolf Photo - continue his explorations of sound and rhythm.
Many of the musical motifs embedded in Tomaso’s tracks can also be heard live with his ensemble SPAGHETTI EASTERN ELECTRO DUB – a musical offshoot of Spaghetti Eastern Music – which performs regularly in New York City and Hudson Valley.
