Hailed by Hot Press as “one of the most promising singer-songwriters in the country”, Dublin musician Tommy Cullen spent his two years of solitude crafting eclectic indie tunes about scary sharks, imaginary breakups, monochromatic rainbows and really nice trains. In 2022, the triumphant return of live music brought these curious creations to the stage…
Following a seven-date tour of Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way, Tommy’s ‘Live at Workmans’ EP showcases his work in an intimate, stripped-back setting. The collection was launched to a sold-out crowd in Little Whelans, and features a mix of established favourites and brand new songs.
The past year also saw Tommy participate in the Hot Press Y&E livestream series, and put the finishing touches on his eagerly awaited debut album. Releasing in the coming months, ‘Enjoy the Glow’ represents the culmination of Cullen’s artistic work – and the ten catchiest tracks he’s ever created.
Through numerous releases Tommy has steadily grown an online following, reaching fans across the world and racking up a few streams along the way. With his return to the stage, an album on the way and nothing to fear but fear itself (and sharks), phase two begins… Now.
“Cullen’s ability to express a range of emotion through minimalist arrangements is mesmerising.”
- IndieBuddie
“Tommy's vocals penetrate your chest and pull at your heart strings.”
- Dave McMahon, Bayview Sounds
