Tommy Flee

My stage name is &#64;<a href="spotify:artist:6QpqtZZM5gUxmzib9xSEuD" data-name="Tommy Flee">Tommy Flee</a> or Tflee for short I was born in Danbury Connecticut raised in Brooklyn. I’ve lived with my dad all my life, He’s my role model which definitely plays a big part in who I am. I grew up in a Jamaican household, my dad is Jamaican my mother is an American, but I don’t remember much about the American culture because I didn’t spend much time with my mother as she was an absent parent.
I always had a thing for music, when I was 9 my favorite rappers were &#64;<a href="spotify:artist:3q7HBObVc0L8jNeTe5Gofh" data-name="50 Cent">50 Cent</a> &#64;<a href="spotify:artist:5K4W6rqBFWDnAN6FQUkS6x" data-name="Kanye West">Kanye West</a> and &#64;<a href="spotify:artist:0YWxKQj2Go9CGHCp77UOyy" data-name="Fabolous">Fabolous</a> but I had more love for reggae/cultural music because that’s all my father played and he wasn’t into hip hop thing. I started recording music when I was 15 years of age. I’ve recorded over a thousand sounds and was never able to release them because they either got lost on flash drives or emails.
But at 21 life started hitting me hard and I started to write. My friends would hear me rehearsing my lyrics and they would tell me I should shoot a video or put the songs on SoundCloud. Truth be told I never wanted to be a rapper/artist I was really only creating music for self-expression. I was the oldest of my siblings and never trusted anyone, so speaking on what I was going through was a taboo to me.
