As honored in his name, Tommy was born in Hafnarfjördur, Iceland. Raised in a musical family off the west coast of Sweden, his upbringing was saturated with gospel singers, songwriters, and recording artists. This led to his passion for songwriting at age twelve, an enthusiasm that placed him in various bands growing up as he honed his craft.
Tommy made his way to the US to start his career as a songwriter, producer and artist after he signed a publishing deal with Full Circle Music in 2018. He has had various cuts by artists such as Chris Tomlin, Bethel Music, DOE, Jesus Culture, Rita Springer, Hope Darst, Mitch Wong, Benjamin William Hastings, Alexander Pappas, Shane & Shane, Bryan & Katie Torwalt, Mac Powell, David Leonard, Evan Craft, Lindy Cofer, Selah, and many more. As an artist, Iceland has released singles titled Idols, Outside Looking In, Impact, and most recently People Need People. Tommy’s music is inspired out of his own personal testimony.
Tommy signed with TIM Publishing in May of 2021. He now resides in Franklin, Tennessee with his wife and two sons.
