Tommy Tha Great

Tommy Tha Great (born December 5, 1995) is an African-American rapper, singer, producer, and multidisciplinary artist from Greensboro, North Carolina. A prodigious talent, he began creating music at just 14 years old, deeply influenced by sonic innovators like Lil Wayne and Kanye West, and captivated by the futuristic potential of autotune as both an instrument and expressive tool.
Fusing melodic production with psychedelic textures and a chameleonic vocal style, Tommy’s sound is defined by its forward-thinking artistry—bridging retro-futurist aesthetics with emotionally resonant songwriting. His music exists in a space between sci-fi imagination and human vulnerability, as exemplified in his early breakout single Star Guardian, a hypnotic journey through time, space, and self-discovery. In 2014, he released his debut project Jedi Lords: Black Saber, anchored by the fan-favorite “Second Love.” That same year, he introduced Lazer Man, a cosmic, energy-absorbing time traveler who serves as a sonic alter ego and narrative center for his conceptual discography. This superhero narrative culminated in the ambitious Lazer Man: The 5th Millennium (2016), a genre-defying project that fused myth, science fiction, and metaphysical inquiry.
Tommy later signed with his independently developed media company, TomericanVision through which he expanded his expertise into production, songwriting, and digital art.
