Ton Scherpenzeel is mostly known for his 48 year career as leader/composer/keyboardist
of the world renowned prog rock band, Kayak (1972-20221) as well as being keyboardist for prog rock bands
Camel (UK) and Earth and Fire (NL). In addition to his band and solo career, Ton is an avid composer and musician in
theatre and record productions in the Netherlands. As an accompanist he is best known for his long lasting collobaration with leading cabaret artist Youp van 't Hek (since 1984), for whom he wrote all the music.
