Tongg are a three piece lopsided alt-pop band from Nottingham, England. The band consists of Mike Hutchinson (Bass Guitar), John Schofield (Drums & Percussion), Robert Harris (Vocals, Guitars, Keys & Production) and live/studio collaborators Aurelie Guinard (Harmony Vocals & Vocal Arrangements), Hugh Pascal (Trumpet) and We Show Up On Radar (Production, Keys & Mastering).
Following their debut release 'Brains Out', their lockdown EP 'Karate In The Dark' and their 80s inspired ’Double A-Side’ single comes the standalone song ‘Smile Like A Sunbeam’. On this record they continue to squeeze bendy art-pop sounds, hooky melodies, dreamy fuzz and skewed lyrical themes into constantly moving arrangements! The record was released on Wed Aug 31st 2022 by Fika Recordings and the state51 Conspiracy.
