Born in Zimbabwe, multiple award-winning South African acoustic guitarist, singer/songwriter, composer and recording artist,
Tony Cox has become a veritable icon of the instrument in his own country and has been described as one of South Africa’s finest musical exports. Now residing in the UK with his family, Cox is as busy as ever and is about to release a brand new album of work titled, 'The World Went Quiet' for May 2021. The album will be officially launched in the UK in September of 2021. Cox has released upwards of 20 albums, three of which won a South African Music Award (SAMA) for best instrumental album.
