Tony’s eclectic music, with its strong melodic and sometimes exotic flavor, was honed through his earlier work with the progressive rock band, Heresy.
Tony’s latest release, “Shadowland: Here Lies Man,” delves into the psychological prisons we all construct in our minds. Produced and engineered by William Brown, Shadowland has received widespread acclaim as a sonic triumph. The songs are largely metaphorical, featuring characters like Doctor Deadbrain, the Ribbon Pilots, and the Glass Beast, each representing a different cognitive malady.
Tony’s solo work has garnered interest in various countries and exotic locations. His musical interpretation of the 5,000-year-old Sumerian tale, “The Epic of Gilgamesh,” (released in 2001) was even adapted into a play at the American University of Beirut in Lebanon. This adaptation has garnered favor among the Assyrian people of Central Asia. Notably, the CD is included as supplemental material in numerous universities across the United States. Additionally, the song “We Are All One” was selected as the winner of the “Rubbing Elbows” song contest by Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull. Tony performed this song live with Ian Anderson and his band at the Orpheum theater in Phoenix, Arizona, in 2003.
The progressive rock band, Heresy, has released three critically acclaimed albums over the years: “At the Door” (1985), “A Far Cry” (1989), and “Prufrock” (2016).
