Triple D Funk, Tony’s definitive label of his style of music, is an extension of P-Funk, G-Funk, & Southern HipHop just coming from Dallas. Having released 3 singles before his 1st mixtape “Children of the Mothership” in may of 2019 Tony was determined to saturate the public with his sound! The mixtapes tells the tale of how Tony is kidnapped during the night to be taken away to another dimension where he finds his true self! A rollercoaster ride of emotion! That next month in June, Tony released “Two Summers Ago” his 5 song EP that drew you into his more personal world and allowed him to let you into his daily routines and vibes! His next breakout song would be the emphatic “Trouble Man” based of the black exploitation movie Trouble Man! If that wasn’t enough, Tony came back the VERY NEXT WEEK and released his 2nd mixtape “Children of The Mothership II: The Spirits Within”. Picking up where the story left off, Tony goes deeper into his personal life and accentuates through song his struggles and hardships on his journey to success in life and music. Tonyjr is a VIBE!
