Tophet is a black metal band from Saint Petersburg, Russia.
The band started in 2003, playing and touring a lot in Russia it became one of the most recognizable black metal bands of the decade from Saint Petersburg. Tophet released the LP album 'Bypassing The Christian Era' in 2007, shared stage with Mayhem, Marduk, Nargaroth, Belphegor and others.
In 2009 Veliar, the founder left the band, and later the band was split-up.
After more than 10 years Veliar decided to record the songs that Tophet played on their shows in 2000-s. Some of these songs were never released before. Shoulder to shoulder with his comrades Nebular, Ferentzi and Dissforeas, he gives the second birth to Russian black metal heritage, that shouldn't be forgotten!
