Topino

Born Joel Fischbein in Arroyo Grande, CA, Topino has played music since taking piano lessons as a child. Topino played in marching, concert, and jazz band in school, but also played music outside of school with friends, playing bass guitar and singing in a band called All of the Above in high school. In college, Topino learned music production, specifically for Hip Hop, from friends and joined a collective called Snack Kayak. Now, Topino has returned to music after 5 years of on and off production as a hobby with his album The Last Five Years.

Topino&#39;s musical influences are quite diverse starting with an obsession with The Beatles in middle school that evolved into punk/grunge/rock favorites like <a href="spotify:artist:2d0hyoQ5ynDBnkvAbJKORj" data-name="Rage Against The Machine">Rage Against The Machine</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:64mPnRMMeudAet0E62ypkx" data-name="Primus">Primus</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6olE6TJLqED3rqDCT0FyPh" data-name="Nirvana">Nirvana</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5E2rtn57BM2WPjwak4kGd5" data-name="At the Drive-In">At the Drive-In</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:6MxlVTY6PmY8Nyn16fvxtb" data-name="Slightly Stoopid">Slightly Stoopid</a>. In high school, Topino was introduced to more hip hop like <a href="spotify:artist:4sv6VJ2QZlaSosz3kFlxQH" data-name="Mac Dre">Mac Dre</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:7boQqq2hUcz9kHcQOecG4j" data-name="Andre Nickatina">Andre Nickatina</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6UBA15slIuadJ8h2lPRPos" data-name="Tech N9ne">Tech N9ne</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:1GAS0rb4L8VTPvizAx2O9J" data-name="Atmosphere">Atmosphere</a>. Today, Topino finds a lot of production inspiration from <a href="spotify:artist:5K4W6rqBFWDnAN6FQUkS6x" data-name="Kanye West">Kanye West</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:0iEtIxbK0KxaSlF7G42ZOp" data-name="Metro Boomin">Metro Boomin</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:4HzKw8XcD0piJmDrrPRCYk" data-name="Majid Jordan">Majid Jordan</a>.
