TORA is a Grammy nominated blues inspired pop/rock band fronted by Norway’s new guitar heroine Tora Dahle Aagård, who has achieved worldwide recognition and popularity due to her playful virtuosity and infectious stage presence. She is followed by 155.000 guitar aficionados from all over the world on Instagram.
TORA’s first eponymous titled album was released in 2019 and was deemed “a promising debut by a new female guitar hero” by the Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet. Their next album Girls was released in 2020 and received a Norwegian Grammy Nomination. The album featured acclaimed musicians such as guitarist Joey Landreth and drummer Aaron Sterling (John Mayer).
Despite her young age (27), the talented guitarist has performed in London’s Royal Albert Hall, played with the likes of Jennifer Batten (Michael Jackson) and Paul Gilbert (Mr Big), as well as Aaron Serling (John Mayer). She is International Ambassador for the French guitar brand Marceau Guitars, with a very own limited edition signature guitar model designed for her. This September, TORA will embark on their first UK tour.
