The band that almost wasn’t, Torches From Above is no stranger to struggle. Emerging from Huntington WV and the surrounding areas, this four-piece outfit defies easy classification—blending elements of hardcore, metalcore, screamo, shoegaze, and even black metal into a sound that is unmistakable yet undefinable.
We’re thrilled to announce that Torches From Above has joined the Outer Orbit Records family. Their debut full-length album, I Don’t Feel Closer To You Here, will be released on vinyl, CD, cassette, and digital on November 21, 2025.
Recorded with producer Neil Tuuri at Amish Electric Chair Studios, the album captures the raw emotional weight of loss, grief, self-doubt, acceptance, and growth—a sound that’s both sonically heavy and emotionally resonant.
