The year is 2021. The place: Birmingham, Alabama. A plague-stricken year has forced many bands to employ GarageBand drummers. Streaming playlists drone endlessly with metromic loops snapped mechanically to lifeless grids. It’s out of these bleak ashes that the world may behold the rise of TORCON VII. Guitarists Sam Edmunds and Ruben Lasseter were born with a shared destiny: play faster, louder, and harder than anyone. Edmunds’s vocal talent and lyrical prowess are both natural and spellbinding. The rhythm section, anchored by Grant Jones and Will Nichols, can be described with one word: tough. At the time of this writing, half of the band isn’t even old enough to drive--but the heart and will to become giants of the Heavy Metal world are undeniable. Their debut album “Twister” is available on all streaming platforms September 17, 2021.
