Tortuga Shades

Tortuga Shades might just be your new favorite band you don’t know about… yet.


The band resides in Austin, Texas, and loves playing the local circuit of venues there. 2019 saw them beginning to play larger venues and events, like the Pecan Street Festival downtown on 6th Street.


Their debut EP was met with positive reviews, with write-ups saying “The band plays a very uplifting brand of rock full of catchy hooks” and “danceable melodies”, with the vocals being “candy-sweet yet rich and relaxing at the same time.”


Nadia, Wylie, and Gian have been rocking the city since 2017, and with the addition of Casey the Bassy in 2020, the band finally had the right sound they needed to create and release their first full length LP.


Tortuga Shades doesn’t care much for genres, and draws influence from across the musical spectrum. You’ll hear hints of funk, jazz, latin, and more, sprinkled atop their indie rock sound, all while your toes continue to subliminally tap to their beats.


They’re set for a huge 2021, with the release of their debut album “Revolving” on the horizon.
