Total Death emerged in 1991 among the cold mountains of Quito, Ecuador. Since their debut EP, Silencio de Soledad, the band has pushed their doom-death roots into new creative territories. With five critically acclaimed records, international tours, and a loyal South American fan base, their 25-year legacy remains stronger than ever.

Their latest release, "Mar de Aguas Amargas" is a 20-minute doom-death opus, showcasing innovative songwriting and world-class production by Swedish producer Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios. Total Death has redefined barriers in the South American metal scene, sharing stages with legends like Opeth, Dismember, Dark Tranquility, Possessed, and Carcass, among others.

Performances at major festivals such as Under The Doom (Portugal), Mexico Metal Fest, 70000 Tons of Metal (USA), and Estigma Fest (Colombia) have cemented their place as global icons in the genre. Despite their international success, they remain deeply connected to their South American roots, incorporating Andean percussion and melodies into their sound.
