“Then & Now” (Τότε και Τώρα) is a comedy sketch series that contrasts two different eras to reveal the same timeless human chaos beneath them. Each episode unfolds through parallel scenes: “Then,” following Takis and Soula in an older, loud, excessive Greece, and “Now,” centered on Spyros and Valeria in a modern urban setting driven by organization, self awareness, and anxiety.
In Then, life revolves around overflowing tables, spontaneous guests, folk culture, and emotional excess. Arguments are loud, affection is raw, and family gatherings turn into chaotic celebrations filled with humor, jealousy, and warmth. In Now, chaos takes a subtler form endless planning, wellness rituals, social pressure, fear of exposure, and the constant need to curate a presentable life for group chats and social media.
Though the settings differ, the similarities are striking. The series humorously suggests that people haven’t truly changed only the language, habits, and aesthetics have. The home remains both a battlefield and a refuge, where love, insecurity, ambition, and social expectations collide.
Then vs Now is a character driven comedy of observation and rhythm, where each episode functions as a self contained event parties, holidays, family gatherings revealing that while times evolve, the struggle to belong, to be loved, and to not feel alone remains exactly the same.
