Tour Bunker is a Malay versed, one-man project 'band' from the tiny little southern tropical Singapore. Rock n' roll influenced, loud, noisy, screaming old fart. Songs of self-redemption, self-reflection and life living in the mundane world today, promoting and creating mental health awareness. Jack MataXatu produced, wrote, played all instruments and sang every vocal.
"I've always enjoyed writing music in such a way that I could express my thoughts and emotions, and basically tried to sing, which I'm not very good at, and I simply don't care if the people can't accept my music and nothing is going to stop me from what I love doing most.”
He finds that music is beneficial and really hopes that people who listen to his music can help relax the mind, energize the body, and even help better manage pain whereas the lyrics offered the opportunity to discuss self-worth, resilience, strength, boost psychological well-being and confidence.
“To me, writing and creating music is a form of art therapy where I seek solace while battling with my mental health."
Jack MataXatu hopes his lyrics through his music will be heard around the region, and hopefully the world, where they could deeply connect to, appreciate and easily relate to obstacles in their daily lives, worldly and personally.
“My writings may not be of a poet's but words in its simplest form coming straight from the bottom of my heart.”
