Tracy Z is born and raised in Inglewood, CA to a Mexican mother and a Jamaican father, learned Spanish as her first language, embedding a strong influence of Latin culture. She learned to speak fluent English by the age of 8 as she also was exposed to Caribbean culture from her father. In 2012, she connected with award winning producer Matias Nardi, and began developing what eventually became her unique signature sound. Her music is a reflection of all these influences, and can be described as a fusion of Latin and Caribbean vibes with EDM, Hip Hop & Pop.
