Tragedy Monroe, real name Travis L. Clayton is surely a Diamond In The Dirt. Born in the late 80's, Tragedy was no stranger to music as his father David B. Clayton was the lead singer of a singing group named "Equations" based in Asbury Park N.J. But Tragedy didn't always have his dad around as his family was plagued with drug addiction and poverty in the early stages of Tragedys life. As a kid, he had to to find out early the consequences of drug abuse as his mother was an addict since as early as he could remember. In a conversation with tragedy he described in detail a time when he was 7 years of age and had been taken by his mom on a walk to go buy drugs from her dealer. The experience he said never effected him until he was old enough to know what was really going on. A big portion of Tragedy's child hood was spent being neglected and left to fend for himself at a very young age. Events from his childhood would only grow ice the heart of a kid that was naturally so warm hearted. At age 11, tragedy suffered a loss he didn't see coming. He's mother died. With the only person he trusted gone, Tragedy Turned to music to ease his pain and cope. What began as a need for music evolve into a lust for it. Tragedy is a hands on musical genius. He's his own audio engineer and producer and plans on doing nothing but getting better at his craft.
