Founded in Stockholm, Sweden late 1984 by lead singer/songwriter Ben Marlene and the twins Yvonne/Susanne Holmström, vocals. Pelle Hökengren "Pelle Pop" , guitars. Johan Stark, bass, PJ Widestrand, keyboards, Sören ”Sir” Johansen, drums. Deal signed in 1985 with CBS Records.  1986 "Do The Dance" hit the Billboard dance charts travelled across Europe and South America, Debut Album <a href="spotify:album:0IFsGEbuKdyHtb5r3XQUWy" data-name="A-HO-HO">A-HO-HO</a> 1987 included two more hit singles "Hoodoo Wanna Voodoo" and "River Of Love" . Late 1987 "<a href="spotify:track:5LhHxwUDXeK4lnIg9VwLpc" data-name="Don't Say Go">Don't Say Go</a>" gave the band their first No 1 hit record. In early 1988 the iconic monster hit "<a href="spotify:track:0y1pW3wFtNdaHPmflwVrH1" data-name="You're Gonna Get It">You're Gonna Get It</a>" accompanied by a legendary video, gave the band their second No1 single and made them MTV favourites. Album," <a href="spotify:album:7eqX7RSM9r4nmQGKzydTWb" data-name="Dancing in the shadows">Dancing in the shadows</a>" was released later in the spring of 1988 and sold platinum (150 00 copies)in Sweden alone. The bands extensive touring and amazing live performances turned the band into one of the biggest in the nordic region. In 1989 Trance Dance became the last band ever to work at Air Studios Montserrat completing their third, but, unreleased album. The band parted ways in the fall of 1989. Trance Dance continued as a trio releasing the album Twang 1990 and had their 10th and last top 10 hit with "Is It Love". In the autumn of 2023 guitarist Pelle Pop sadly passed away after some time of illness. Anonymus quote. -"Trance Dance WAS the eighties !"
