Hailing from Prince George’s county Maryland, Trap Jacket is the persona of a 90’s rapper clad in the aura of a maestro, that spends his evenings as a matador. Utilizing a peculiar sound in spite of what’d you usually hear from the DMV area, Trap Jacket brings eccentric bars with unorthodox flows and witty punchlines, packaged over low-fi and boom bap beats. His use of grittiness is displayed in an intelligent; sometimes even pretentious fashion, that blurs the line between targeting threats against those who plague hip-hop with nonsense, versus personal acknowledgement of one’s own condemnation.
