The Jersey born artist Trap Jayy grew up in a Latino household that thrived in different cultures of music. Seeing his father playing in live shows as a percussionist for bands, watching his older brother become a successful DJ, and having many family members who are inclined to music; there were many influences that were essential to the making of Trap Jayy. Being exposed to so much at a young age Trap Jayy quickly tapped in and knew that music was something more than just rhythm and beats. Taking on all forms of creativity Trap Jayy tackled all that is to express how he feels using music; he said, “It was just something about having a fire beat and hearing my voice over it”. It wasn’t until Trap Jayy first stepped foot into a studio, he recalls the experience and all he can say about it was, “I’m Home”. Sure enough Trap Jayy knew right then and there who he needed to become. Trap Jayy had undergone many trials and tribulations before he was able to mold himself into who he needed to be to fulfill his purpose; to be an outlook for those who need clarity, a voice for those who need to hear what won’t be said, someone that can just put you in a better place mentally, physically, and spiritually all in the form of his creative aspirations and outlooks into his creative intelligence.
