Trash Robot is a rock trio that left the robot factory in 2019 and hails from Boston, made up of Jim Smith (bass, vocals), Francis Quinn (Drums), and Jesse Catlin (guitar, vocals). They play a musical style they affectionately call #trashwave, that takes a heavily improvisational approach to songwriting with severely anti-pop sensibilities that grew out of post punk/post hardcore/noise rock roots with a garage rock aesthetic - comparisons of their songs have been made to Fugazi, Shellac, Sonic Youth, Modest Mouse, Built to Spill, Polvo, Folk Implosion, Pixies, Sebadoh, and Pavement.
